Rome- Day 2

After our adventures of touring the city on Friday, we used the Metro Saturday morning to reach Vatican City. Here, we got lunch in a German themed restaurant and then made our way to St. Peter’s Square where we lined up to enter St. Peter’s Basilica. This was followed by free time until our booking to enter the Vatican museum where we saw Raphael’s fresco The School of Athens and the Sistine Chapel with Michaelangelo’s world famous Last Judgement Scene. This was followed by dinner and the metro back to the hotel.
