Nenagh College first year students were delighted to take part in a Science Magic Show. During the show, students got to see the creation of bubbles containing different gases. They set on fire bubbles containing butane gas. The flammability of different substances was also demonstrated including lighting alcohol flames in a jar and setting fire to paper without it burning. Students witnessed that trick of turning water into ‘wine’, then into ‘flat lemonade’, then into ‘fizzy lemonade’ and finally into ‘milk’.  During the show, the students got to explore the fantastic world of physics and chemistry in a fun, vibrant way. Special thanks must be given to our science department for organising the event.
Students of the first year art class visited the community garden in Nenagh on Friday morning. First years are currently working on a miniature garden project and found the sculpture and furniture design inspirational. Students also visited Nenagh Library, where an exhibition of a local artist, on the theme of nature, was displayed. Students were accompanied by the Art Teacher Ms Beirne and S.N.A. Anne- Marie Cullen.
