Coding Competition

Last week, the school communities of Borrisokane, Nenagh College, and CMCO came together for a coding competition hosted by Borrisokane. Representing Nenagh College were eight talented 2nd-year coding students. Each student showcased their skills by designing and coding a game using either Scratch or Makecode Arcade. The results were remarkable, with all coding students demonstrating excellent workmanship in their games. Selecting the eight students to represent our school was a challenging task, indicative of the strong coding talent within our school.
On the competition day, Wiktoria and Nathan emerged as the overall winners from Nenagh College, adding to the sense of achievement within our community. This event provided a wonderful opportunity for three Tipperary ETB schools to collaborate closely, furthering the promotion of STEM and coding education in our region

Tractor Safety Training

We were delighted to see our Ag Science students engaged in Tractor Safety Training on Tuesday last. Kevin O’Connor from FRS Roscrea delivered the certified course highlight tractor safety and training which we hope is a life skill our students will take to their own farms and the workplace. Kevin was very impressed with their safety and machinery knowledge and driving skills. Thanks to sponsors FBD Insurance and Nenagh College and to Tim Gleeson Farm Machinery for the use of the tractor.
