Intercultural Day goes virtual.

Nenagh College’s Intercultural Day has become an important fixture on the school calendar. This year we had to go virtual!  Despite the different format, the Applied Social Studies (Post Leaving Certificate) Class of 2020/2021 hosted a very rich and vibrant event, featuring food and artefacts from Brazil, England, India, Ireland, Mexico, South Africa as well as a very unique look at the Inuit people’s culture. Students and tutors enjoyed learning about the variety of cultures and diversity in our community and global community.
Intercultural “Education gives us the chance to understand that we are all tied together as citizens of the global community, and that our challenges are interconnected.” — Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary-General
