Today the Leaving Certificate class of 2021 came together (albeit in different circumstances) to celebrate their last 6 years in Nenagh College. The graduation was live streamed to each Leaving Certificate classroom. While not the graduation that many would have liked, it was beautifully put together by Ms. Quigley with special words from their Year Head Ms Clarke, LCA Coordinator Mr. Johnston, teacher Ms. O’ Gorman, parent Mr. Declan Kinsella and a blessing from Fr Des Hillery. There was also a special message on behalf of school management, Mr. Damien Kennedy and Mr. Stephen O’ Meara.
A special thanks to the 6th year students who did readings for the ceremony. Also thank you to 1st year student Gaja Lustrynowicz (sibling of 6th year student) who read a heart felt message to the Leaving Cert class of 2021. Finally thank you to Ms. Beirne and Ms. Knight for the beautiful artwork and to Trish and her team of Get Fresh for the refreshments. On a final note Nenagh College would like to wish the Leaving Certificate class the very best for the future. You will be missed.
Rory’s Stories Talk
Well known comedian, author and social media star, Rory O’ Connor of Rory’s Stories, delivered a very enjoyable talk to second year students via Zoom on Thursday 29th April. His account of his struggles during his schooldays and along his career path to the success he enjoys today, was very inspiring. He emphasised the importance of honesty, perseverance and hope as key factors in his progress in life and gave the students lots to reflect on.
