First Computer Science Exam in Nenagh College

Congratulations to the students who completed the first Leaving Certificate Computer Science Exam in Nenagh College on Wednesday 25th May 2022. The exam consisted of an hour and half theory exam and an hour of python coding. The students have worked diligently over the last two years, and are delighted to have one exam completed already.

 

Second Year School Tour

After a long awaited two years, our 2nd year students and their class directors finally experienced their first school tour as a year group on Tuesday 24th May. They spent the morning bowling, followed by some fun at an inflatable water park. Thanks to Mr.Quinn, Ms.Collins, Ms.Hannigan, Ms.Bergin our superhero SNA and Ms.Hartnett for accompanying them

African Drumming workshop

On Monday 11th of May Patrick Naughton facilitated an African Drumming workshop for all our music students here in Nenagh college. The students had the challenge of learning a new and fascinating skill. The drumming workshop is a natural team building activity that’s fun and both relaxing and creatively stimulating. Well done to all!

Practical skills class with Childcare/Community Care LCA 5

Practical skills demonstrated during the lesson:
How to clean and sterilise a bottle
How to hygienically remove bottles from the steriliser and how to store them
How to prepare a bottle for an infant using a kettle
How to check that a bottle is at a safe temperature before feeding an infant
How to prepare a bottle for an infant using “The Perfect Prep Machine” by Tommee Tippee

Our First Year Students travelled to Limerick’s Hunt Museum

On Thursday 19th May they viewed the many Artefacts displayed . Students engaged discovering hidden gems by Picasso, Roderick O Connor , Sean Keating to name but a few.

Our class were also allowed access to the temporary exhibition by Renowned Irish Artist Stephen Lawlor .

Our tour continued with a bus tour of the many Drawout Murals in Limerick city including works by Maser, and Aches.

We would like to thank the hunt museum for a very educational and enjoyable morning.

TY Over Night Trip

Our TY Group recently had a fantastic Over Night Trip to Eclipse Activity & Adventure Centre, Kenmare. After 2 days of Obstacle Courses, Bog Runs, Kayaking and Team Challenges, it was a quiet bus on the journey home! Well done to all TY students who gave it their all throughout the 2 days and thank you to Miss Hartnett, Mr Macken & Mr Quinn for accompanying the group.
