Big Brother Big Sister making snowmen in preparation for Christmas
Our Transition Year Class recently attended an informative talk on “Fire Safety in the Home” and “Road Safety when Driving” – this was followed by a full demonstration of the removal of a driver from a 2 car Road Traffic Collision. We would like to thank all the staff in Nenagh Fire Station for such an informative and eye opening afternoon.
Congratulations to all of our Transition Year students who completed the Irish Heart Foundations ‘CPR 4 Schools’ training programme. The students received training in CPR and a certificate. Some 5,000 people die of sudden cardiac arrest every year. 70% of cardiac arrests happen in the home in front of a bystander – starting CPR can double the chance of survival. It is the aim of the Irish Heart foundation to have trained 72% of Secondary schools by 2019. Well done to all involved.
