Condemned to Remember

History students from Nenagh College at a special film screening of ‘Condemned to Remember.’

Bergen-Belsen survivor Tomi Reichental has embarked on a lifelong quest to keep the memory of the Holocaust alive so that its horrors will never be repeated. Now Tomi symbolically celebrates his 80th birthday in a Dublin mosque and embarks on an epic journey across a Europe in turmoil.

In Germany, Tomi concludes his long quest to bring the convicted SS war criminal Hilde Michnia to account. In Poland and Slovakia, he confronts the ‘crisis of shame’ that obscures the scale of local ‘collusion’ with the Nazi extermination project. In Bosnia, he embraces Muslim survivors of a genocide who still search for the bones of their loved ones.

Don’t Be Mean Behind the Screen

On Monday next, the Nenagh College Parents Association will present an information evening on safe mobile phone use. The delivery will be facilitated by Paula O’Connor. Paula has already delivered very powerful workshops in the school for 2nd / 3rd and Transition Year students.

Paula is renowned nationally for her delivery of workshops on this very current and possibly, must worrying , topic for parents.

The theme of the evening will be creating awareness for parents of the potential dangers that phone misuse poses for teenagers.

All parents are welcome to attend
