Transition Year student, Nicole Byers Ryan, was the recipient of a Youth Garda Award at a ceremony that took place in the Garda Training College in Templemore on Wednesday 27th April. This award was open to nominees between the ages of 13 and 19 years of age, to acknowledge the efforts they made in making their communities a better place to live in or who have shown great determination in their own lives.
The judging panel consisted of former Tipperary hurler Brendan Cummins, Thurles born Una (Healy) Foden (of ‘The Saturday’s’ & ‘The Voice’) and Circuit Court judge Mr. Gerard O’Brien.
