Gaisce, The President’s Award, is a personal development programme for young people aged between 15 and 25, to dream big and realise their potential. There are three levels of Gaisce; Bronze, Silver and Gold. The Gaisce bronze award was introduced to transition year students in Nenagh College in 2014. This award involves four key challenge areas; community involvement, personal skill, physical recreation, and an adventure journey.
Glendalough 2019
As part of the Gaisce Bronze Award 2019, 35 TY students and 4 supervising teachers, Ms. Dillon, Ms. Maharaj, Mr. Macken & Mr. Cox travelled to Glendalough in Co. Wicklow. The group stayed in the Glendalough International Youth Hostel and over two days, completed a 25km walk.
