Take 1 Programme

Nenagh College in partnership with Tipperary ETB’s Take 1 Programme Director, Valerie Lewis, have been working on exploring and embedding the Take 1 programme in our school.

The Take 1 programme looks at the internationally agreed 17 Sustainable Development Goals and aims to promote these among the school community.

As part of this, the staff of Nenagh College participated enthusiastically in a whole school CPD with Valerie on January 17th last. Following this, teachers and students explored the 17 Sustainable Development Goals during Nenagh College’s Take 1 week from January 23rd to 26th. During their classes that week, teachers linked these SDG’s to their various subject areas, thus displaying to students across their whole curriculum the themes of each SDG.
