Nenagh College held their wellbeing week from 22nd 26th January 2024, it started off with a whole school assembly, where the Nenagh College community came together to celebrate achievements and to look ahead to a positive week.
During the week there was a wide range of activities, including Try it Tuesday, where students got the opportunity to try out either Zumba, Jiu Jitsu or yoga/meditation.
Garda Maureen visited and educated students about drugs and how to be cyber safe.
TY students took part in the “Brilliant Mondays Workshop” where Stephen Kiernan provided examples of how ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things. Students worked with Stephen to follow the cycle of: Vision – Planning & Strategy – Resilience – Continuous Improvement.
Paula Duggan a nutritionist, spoke to students about nutrition, social media, sleep and exercise.
TY students took part in the Adventure and Precision Challenge, where in the UL Sports Arena they enjoyed the Climbing Wall and the Archery activities. Their final activity was to Pallas Go Karting, Portumna.
All students took part in Walk on Wednesday, where students took advantage of the new walk way on the school grounds.
The First year Business Studies mini company provided hot chocolate in reusable cups.
All students engaged in meditation on Thursday.
The woodwork department made a Tree of Life, where students and staff were encouraged to add their positive quotes and things, they are grateful for. Â Students decorated the school with positive quotes.
On Friday all students connected with each other while enjoying morning tea/scone in the canteen.
