On October 13th, Nenagh College played host to a unique event. Judo Ireland’s Inclusive tournament is the only one of it’s kind in the world.
The event, which has been running at Nenagh College for three years, caters for participants from mainstream and for those exponents of the art, with Special Needs, from judo clubs throughout the country. The event also includes competitions for participants with autism, a uniquely inclusive event.
Day two of this weekend celebration of inclusivity in sport is a Fun Day organised by Nenagh College staff member, Michael Heffernan.
Speaking of the event, School Principal Damien Kennedy, noted that this type of event is in perfect confluence with the school’s stated of Vision of A”progressive and inclusive school where personal and academic growth is nurtured”
