Nenagh College Parent Council AGM launches new school canteen

Nenagh College students returned to a brand new canteen in August this year.

Renowned school food specialist company Get Fresh won the contract for three years to provide fresh, wholesome, nutritious food to upwards of 480 customers per day.

After an extensive refurbishment of the existing canteen, the new staff welcomed their first customers on September 1st.

Canteen Manager Trishia O’ Shea is delighted to be part of this exciting new venture. As a parent herself, she is acutely aware of the value of such a service to families of students attending the school. The menu on offer is varied and the hot dinners are in great demand.

Mr. Billy McGill, CEO Get Fresh, addressed the AGM of the school’s Parent Council and emphasised his company’s commitment to providing the best quality food at affordable prices to the staff and students. He was accompanied by Harriette Lynch from Health Pro a company working in collaboration with Get Fresh to ensure the highest nutritional standards in food delivery.

A breakfast Café is scheduled to open in November to provide hot food to students who arrive early to school.

School Principal, Damien Kennedy, is delighted with the new arrangement particularly in light of the provision to those students who remain on campus throughout the day.
