Tipperary County Athletics Schools Competition

On Wednesday 20th April, 15 students from Nenagh College travelled to Templemore to compete in the Tipperary County Athletics Schools’ Competition. They were accompanied by their teachers Ms. Murphy and Ms. Hannigan. Students competed in a range of events including 100m, 400m, relays, long jump, hammer, discus and shot putt. All students gave a great performance, with many narrowly missing out on medals. Huge congratulations to all the students who participated. Nenagh College were delighted to win 11 medals on the day. The results are as follows:

Brian Naughton (3rd Year): Intermediate boys – 1st hammer, 1st discus, 1st hurdles and 2 shot putt.

Joshua Delaney (1st Year): 2nd minor boys shot putt and 2nd junior boys discuss.

Jake Murphy (1st Year): 3rd minor boys hurdles.

Intermediate boys relay team of Shane Steed (TY), John Bray (TY), Edmund Gray (3rd Year) and Brian Naughton (3rd Year) came 3rd place.
