On Monday 7th March, Nenagh College Students, Emma Carey, Natasha O’Brien, Jason Dwan, Kia Hynes and their teacher Mr. Cox travelled to Croke Park to attend the Thomas F. Meagher State Flag Presentation Ceremony.
The event itself was hosted by Late Late Show presenter Ryan Tubridy. In attendance for the ceremony was special guest of honour President Michael D. Higgins.

The main goal of the Thomas F. Meagher Foundation was to promote pride and respect for the Irish flag and its meaning for peace by encouraging active citizenship through schools awards and scholarships. The Thomas F. Meagher Foundation aims to promote pride in and respect for the Irish Flag and its true meaning of peace on this Island.
