On October 19TH, Students of Art First Year taster programme at Nenagh College visited “ Creative Minds in the Making Open Day at Limerick College of Design”, accompanied by their Art Teachers Ms Knight , and Ms Beirne. A tour of the eight departments in Art with demonstrations was very enjoyable and informative. This included interactive workshops and studio visits as well as a sample exhibition of each departments work. Digital Media animation and design was explained as well as an introduction to lithography and costume and Fashion design. This visit forms a vital part of the Visual Art Junior Cert Programme developing students observation ambitions and critique skills in Art Craft and Design. We would like to thank the College of Art for this opportunity and our guide for a very enjoyable and enriching experience in this inspiring world of Art and Design.
